2020/21 Premier League top scorers: Golden Boot race standings

The 2020/21 Premier League season is nearing its halfway stage and the Golden Boot race has been as exciting as ever.

In what may not be a surprise to many, Mohamed Salah currently leads the charge after scoring 13 goals in his opening 15 appearances for Liverpool this season, however, the gap to his nearest rival has closed to just one.

Son Heung-min scored his 12 goal of the season in Tottenham’s win over Leeds, kicking off the New Year in fine fashion to move one clear of four players on 11.

Last season’s winner Jamie Vardy is one of that quartet, but the Englishman had number 12 taken away from him in Leicester’s recent 2-2 draw with Man Utd, instead awarded as an own goal. Vardy is joined on 11 by Bruno Fernandes, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Harry Kane, who recently netted against Fulham.

Paying that group close attention are the likes of Callum Wilson and Patrick Bamford, while Marcus Rashford and Wilfried Zaha aren’t out of contention either.

Return here throughout the season to see just how the race for the 2020/21 Premier League Golden Boot pans out.
